Staff

Our staff members are deeply invested in each and every student at Sunshine Preschool. Our teachers are well-educated in early childhood education and development. They look at who the child is academically, socially, and emotionally. In this way, teachers embrace the individuality of each student and provide a safe, warm, and nurturing environment for children. Every classroom is staffed with two teachers. In addition, there are specialists who work with the classroom teachers and children in the areas of literacy, math, Spanish, music, art, science, sports, and drama.

Staff meetings provide an ongoing dialogue of developmental issues and best practices in early childhood education. Teachers have weekly planning time to discuss and plan curriculum collaboratively. We consider ourselves to be a community of learners – child and adult. To that end, staff are encouraged to attend conferences and pursue courses to enrich and refresh the practice.
